About Me
Hi! My name is Kaitlin Gionta. I am a pre-service English and secondary education teacher studying at Grove City College, and I am so excited to be in front of a class of my own one day.
I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I love reading, writing, and being around people. My family means the world to me, and I love spending time with my baby sister and little cousin and helping them to learn and grow (check out the pictures below. They're the cutest things ever, so you won't regret the scroll down).
When I'm not in school or doing homework, I'm most likely in the dance studio. I've been dancing since I was three, and I could not imagine my life without a little bit of studio time each week. I'm involved with two dance troupes on Grove City's campus, Orchesis and Spring Dance Company, and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning and growing with and by the students in the classes I take.
If I'm not in the studio you can find me reading or watching a movie. I am a very big fan of musicals, and I promise if you engage me in conversation over Les Mis or Sweeney Todd my day will be made. My favorite movies are those that are really well done and align with the books that they are based off of- if there was a book before the film, that is. That being said, my all time favorite movie/novel pairings are E.M. Forster's A Room with a View and Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club.

It's always Sunny at Beulah's Sonshine Camp
The past three summers I have had the pleasure of working as the summer youth intern at Beulah Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This mainly entailed collecting the enrollment forms for the five different camps run throughout the summer, entering them into an excel spreadsheet, and collecting payments and logging those for parents. I would also help with setting up and tearing down camps, and sometimes even leading those camps, which was my favorite part! Below is an Animoto video of some of my time at Beulah Camps leading and working with our summer children.
